Biography
ALBA JARAN is an Ibiza-based selector working the seam between afro house and melodic, slow-burning night music. Her sets are patient, percussive and built for the hours after the crowd stops watching the booth.
ALBA JARAN is an Ibiza-based DJ and producer working the seam between afro house and melodic, slow-burning night music. Raised between the Spanish coast and the island, she built her sound the long way round — congas and live drums first, records second — and it shows in sets that lean on percussion and patience rather than drops.
Since 2024 she has held down residencies across the island and played Tulum, Mykonos and London, with releases on independent labels and edits that circulate long before they are officially anywhere. Her 'Jungle Hour' series — recorded live, unedited, usually around 4am — has become the clearest statement of what she does.
She plays 116–124 bpm, prefers a four-hour slot to a ninety-minute one, and will always take the closing set.
